THE DAY THAT I ALMOST GOT TICKETS FOR BADMINTON.... (yes... again!)
Title explained it all. I'm leaving tomorrow, and literally the tickets that are for sell for tomorrow morning were completely sold out as I went up stair to ask my sis and bro. Literally! It was in the shopping cart! GONE! Very very bummed out... I don't want to talk about it anymore... =(

LAST DAY, KINDA LIKE
So here it is! The kinda like last day of my trip. Technically speaking, my flight doesn't depart until 5:50pm. But being a great big sister as I always am, I decided to leave for the airport the same time as my bro and sis, as their flight leaves an hour before mine. Anyway, jam pack schedule today. Will first head to the Bird Nest and Aquatic Stadium. Then will have lunch with a person from the B&E office. If time permits, go take a look again at the MOMA, POP-MOMA, and Hybrid Link project around that area. Hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures on my Holga! Afterward, I'll be heading to watch the Football game with my sis! A WHOLE LOT OF WALKING TODAY!
Seriously there were 3 things on my to-do-list in Beijing, and I only did one! ONE! 1) See the Capital Opera House (The Egg), 2) Capital Stadium (Bird Nest) and have 3) Peking Duck! The third one is looking really grim, as we were having a hard time finding the one that people recommended, and by the time we gave up and settle for another, it was already closed! I suggested that perhaps we should have it for lunch tomorrow. It is kind of fatty for lunch time, but then again I have been literally living so damn healthy on this trip, it makes my daily life in NY seems chaotic! Have I mention that we did not hit up a single bar and get ourselves shitface? Nope. We've been going to bed at midnight and waking up at 7am! What's wrong with this picture?
And speaking of picture, I'll be so poor paying for processing, and will take me forever to scan. Assuming any of the pictures are good... and yes I am a photographer. =)

SO CLOSE, YET SO FAR
I almost! ALMOST got to see badminton! I even made my way to the stadium to see if I can get tickets. But literally everyone WANTS tickets, and no one is selling tickets. What is going on?! I guess it is the olympic afterall. Anyway, as I was about to leave the stadium, I met this lady, and was going to share a cab with her. After talking to her for a bit, and explaining to her that I was trying to buy tickets to watch. She suggested that I take her ticket stub and tell the security that I was out to get something to eat and ask them to let me to go back in. Well I tried that and it didn't work. Bummer... but what can you do when security is tight and stuff. At least I made the effort and try. *sigh*.... next Olympic is in London?! Hmmmmm.... should I?!

.....
I'm not so sure what to say about this trip. Mainly because... well I don't know if there's a because. If I tell you the best part of the trip was the flight, the arrival, the first day we went around town and the couple of hours in Hongzhau and that's it, that can't be good. And if I tell you I have two days complete days of being pissed off all the time, that can't be a good trip either. It is the second time I'm in Shanghai, and I literally forgot how it was like the first time I was here couple of years ago. But I do remember that I didn't enjoy my time here either. So then here it is, the second time. Very very disappointing! The people I'm with? If that one person is in a pissy mood, let just say that for sure 100% the other two people will be dragged downhill as well. WTF man? I paid so much money and traveling half way across the globe to get pissed off? Well not quite, I did shop a whole lot while I'm here. I got a brand new pair of glasses, a pair of Adidas shoe (kinda like the Olympic special addition), two Adidas Olympic t-shirts, and I did meet a random cashier in the Adidas store.
I don't know. The first part of this trip, I'm not feeling it. I'm hoping that the Beijing part would be a whole lot better....

READY SET GO... WELL KINDA
All packed and ready to go! Literally the “first“ vacation I have since I started working in NY! Going back to SF is kindalike, but for sure it gets more complicated everytime we go back. Anyway, first trip oversea with my sister and brother and also first trip oversea for vacation since Macau/HK/Singapore trip back in 2005. Am I excited? Yes and tons of nervous with it? Why? Because there'll be a whole lot of more people will be in Shanghai and Beijing. It's the Olympic! My first hopefully not last Olympic experience. Work hard and totally play hard! Oh FYI: My flight is at 6:15am which usually mean two hrs prior right? Well yes and no, because the first flight of the day you only have to be there 1.5 hrs prior. Which means getting here at 3:30 doesnt help you but sit and wait. I should've kinda sleep in or hug my von von/cry our eyes out because we won't be seeing each other for 10 days. Yes I can be very mushy but hey! I'm HAPPY!
